What's it all about?

From their website:
Green Zebra was started in 1999 by Paul & Wendy Smith after running a successful fresh pasta outlet on Sydney's Northern beaches in the early nineties. The Green Zebra store was about embracing the regions best produce, and providing a diverse range of offerings for the border residents.
“One of the differences between a regional food outlet and a city store is the variety available in the one place” says executive chef Paul. “City stores may have the population to be able to specialise, but in regional centres we have to provide more reasons for the smaller market to visit”.

And visit they do! This bustling cafe / pasta store / providore not only make all the pasta used on site, it’s also available to take home and cook. Their displays are filled with everything from tempting desserts (including a benchmark lemon tart!), regional produce, and of course the sauces and lasagne to go with that fresh pasta. And it’s all made on the premises.

Of course you don’t have to take it home, because their 50 seats are always in
